Problems with the drainage can only get worse over time and usually start with a small blockage but then build up over time with muck and bacteria which can actually be a potential health problem. If the problem has reached your actual drains and they are blocked it might be time to get in touch with a trusted local plumber or drain specialist to come and take a look at the problems. You could try these options though to start with:

Option 1
You will need rubber gloves, a plunger and some safety goggles if you have a pair to protect your eyes from splashes. It`s usually a build up of hair and gunky soap and shampoo that causes the problems so use your fingers or a wire coat hanger to remove obvious blockage as this might be all that you need. If this didn`t work then it`s time to try the plunger. Cover the overflow with duct tape and fill the shower tray to cover the head of the plunger so you can make an effective vacuum with the plunger. Plunge rapidly for 20 seconds at a time to release the blockage.

Option 2
You will need a drain snake which is a flexible wire with a Velcro tab at the end for snagging the blockages and repeat a few times to make sure that you have dislodged everything.
